How Personalization Works
Personalized pieces are kind of our love language. Whether you’re adding a monogram, name, or sweet little detail, here’s exactly how it works from “Add to Cart” to “Ready to Wear.”
1) Choose Your Item
Pick your favorite outfit, accessory, or gift. If it’s listed as customizable, you’re in the right place.
2) Select Your Personalization Options
On each product page, you’ll choose (as available):
- Personalization type (monogram, name, initials, etc.)
- Thread color
- Font/style
- Placement (ex: left chest, center, collar, pocket, etc.)
Some designs come with set placement to keep everything looking just right.
3) Enter Your Personalization Details
You’ll type your personalization exactly how you want it stitched.
Monogram tip (the one that saves the day):
- Traditional female monogram: First LAST Middle
- Example: Mary Anne Smith → M S A
- Traditional male monogram: First Middle LAST
- Example: John Andrew Smith → J A S

Couple/Married monogram (common style): First LAST First
Example: Mary & John Smith → M S J
If you’re not sure, don’t sweat it — we’ll reach out if anything looks off.
4) Add Notes (Optional but Helpful!)
At checkout, you’ll see a Customer Notes box. Use it for anything extra like:
- “Please match thread to the bow”
- “It’s for siblings — can placements be consistent?”
- “I’d love this on a different shirt color/style”
We do our best to accommodate special requests when possible.
5) We Make It Just for You
Everything is handmade to order with boutique-quality pieces. That means:
- Your item is created after you order
- Stitching is done one-by-one
- Placement can vary slightly from item to item (that handcrafted charm!)
6) We Ship It Out
Once your order is stitched, pressed, and ready to shine, it ships to you.
Turnaround Time
Because each item is made to order, please allow time for production before shipping.
- Standard processing: 5-10 business days
- Rush options: Need it in a hurry? Contact us about adding a $15 rush fee.
- Holiday deadlines: These will be posted on the site and shared on social media.
If you need something by a specific date, reach out before ordering and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
Proofs & Approval
In most cases, we don’t send proofs unless:
- you request one in your notes, or
- we spot something that needs clarification (spacing, initials order, unusual request)
If we need confirmation from you, your turnaround time may be affected—so keep an eye on your email just in case.
Important Personalization Notes
A few helpful things to know:
- Double-check spelling and initials. We stitch exactly what’s entered at checkout.
Design placement may vary slightly due to item size, seams, and the handmade process.
- Thread colors may look slightly different on screens vs. real life (lighting is a trickster).
- If you want a shirt color/style not listed, tell us in the notes — we’ll do our best to make it happen.
Returns & Exchanges
Because personalized items are made just for you:
- Personalized items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- If there’s an issue due to an error on our end, we’ll make it right — please contact us within 5 days of delivery with photos.
